JLS
Outta This World Tour
The 38-date UK and Ireland sold-out arena tour saw us provide two independent automation systems utilised for two sequences of the show in the show.
The opening saw the four members of JLS revealed flying over the stage in a genuine production Ford Mustang, which then flew out over the audience on a twin-track GIS KBII tracking system. The system also had a GIS rotation system, allowing the car to turn through 180 degrees over the audience, before returning to the stage.
The second automation element of the show saw a ‘U’ shaped walkway extend from the stage down to the far end of the arena floor, allowing the lads to head out to the far end of the arena for a segment of the show.
While the technology has moved on from the systems used on this tour in , the hardware behind these systems still plays a role in many systems still today, with the GIS KBII track system still offering some of the best load:size ratios of the tracking systems on the market.
